Your vehicle’s starting and charging system is involved in regulating multiple electrical processes to start your vehicle’s engine and keep it running. The starting system consists of the battery, a starter motor, and a starter solenoid responsible for starting the engine, while the charging system consists of an alternator and voltage regulator. The charging system is responsible for routing energy throughout the entire electrical process while sustaining the battery’s charge. The battery supplies the electric power necessary to start the vehicle. This process starts when you turn the ignition. Then, the starting system sends power from the battery to the starter solenoid to the starter motor, which turns the engine in order to begin the internal combustion process. The alternator powers the other electrical components in your vehicle while the regulator controls the voltage supplied to each component. The regulator also ensures that the alternator maintains the battery’s charge so that the entire cycle can continue.

A bit of a late review ..(end of summer) but needs to be said … one day my son had an issue with his car at work  &  again on the way home …he works out of town so having a working car is paramount. I had called  the garage right around closing time  figuring it was likely to late and everyone was gone  but I  left a msg anyway   …Dave called me back 20min or so PAST closing time to see what the problem was and was able to take care of it next day! Great local garage, friendly reasonable and always willing to do what they can to help you out. Thanks again for another great experience!

I have written so many reviews on Water St Auto, I am like a broken record ... lol !!     I kept updating the previous reviews, but I am not sure anyone saw those anymore. Our poor old vehicles are in for service more often these days and so that is why I had so many updates (I had to delete them so I could make a fresh review). Our "poor old vehicles" are the reason why we are so pleased with the folks at Water St Auto. These guys are incredible! They have looked after our vehicles for @ 30 years and although 10 years ago we moved an hour away from Cambridge, we still bring our vehicles here for any work that is needed. These guys are keeping our vehicles safe and on the road and we trust them 100%. Just recently, we had A/C issues in the van while it was super hot and last week, heater issues in the Toyota which we noticed after it got cold ...
